Commercial Roof Restorations

Did you know it is estimated over 80% of roofs are replaced before the end of their lifespan?  Do not let your commercial roof be a victim!  A seamless, stable and energy efficient roof restoration system from CALL Commercial Roofing & Coatings can extend your roof’s life span and delay the need for a costly and often time consuming replacement.

A restoration may be the perfect answer to managing leaks and seemingly endless repairs to your existing roofing system.  Restorations can be accomplished over almost any existing roofing system.  It is less expensive than full replacement, less disruptive to your business flow and can actually pay for itself over time with reduced energy costs.

Professional Roof Restoration Services

Restorations come in different styles.  The best style for your business depends on multiple factors, including roof slope, location, business type and goals.  A little information on each primary choice may be helpful.

Single Ply Membranes.  Consisting of PVC, TPO or EPDM, single ply membranes are rubberized sheets of material that lie across your existing roofing system.  They are generally attached to the structure either chemically (using an adhesive) or mechanically (with fasteners).  The seams between the sheets are either glued together with industrial adhesives or heat-welded.  The end product is a virtually seamless, monolithic layer of waterproof protection over the entire roofing structure.

Coatings.  Coatings are a liquid based option that are either sprayed or rolled directly onto the existing roofing system.  The roof is initially prepared, with any problem areas addressed.  As the coating is applied, the liquid nature causes it to seep into any cracks or damaged areas, sealing them off.  As the coating dries, it forms a single, monolithic layer.  The lack of seams is probably the greatest strength behind the coating restoration system.

Spray Foam.  Most commonly known as SPF, foam also begins as a liquid.  After roof prep, two separate liquids are merged and sprayed onto the existing roofing system.  Foam expands up to 20 times in volume as it dries.  Like coatings, this allows for the filling of any problem areas.  As with both membranes and coatings, foam ultimately forms a single layer of seamless waterproofing protection over the entire structure.  With an extremely high R-value, foam offers much improved insulation features to your building.

Why Restore?

The benefits of a roof restoration are numerous.

Cost.  As previously mentioned, a restoration is significantly less expensive than full replacement.  If your roof has hit a point requiring repeated repairs, restoration can also be less expensive than those ongoing issues.

Longevity.  Depending on the system selected, your restoration can extend the life of your existing roofing structure by 10 years or more.  Additionally, restorations can be refreshed as needed to continue the benefits multiple times.

Durability.  Restoration systems are strong and designed to stand up against hail, wind, UV damage and other environmental issues faced by your roof every day.

Energy Efficiency.  Each system varies in this area.  However, some of these systems are designed specifically to reflect solar heat away from your building.  In some cases up to 85% of that heat is reflected away, resulting in cooling cost savings ranging from 30% up to 50% annually.

Time.  Roof restorations are significantly more quickly accomplished than full replacement.  Another consideration is they generally require no downtime for your business activities.
